This past Friday was May Day, 2026, and an incredible amount of stupid broke out all across the Heartland. And here in North Carolina the largest bunch of stupid was directly connected to public schools, educators and the teachers’ “union”. Now, isn’t that ironic? Well, not really. It’s an illustration of what the educrats have done to/with our government schools. And EVERY taxpayers in that State should be REALLY pissed off about it.
Where to begin? Well, let’s start with the list of stupidity that this whole act was built on. First, this “rally” was held on the pagan communist holiday of May Day. And reading around, evidently the majority of those people who are indoctrinating our children, aren’t/weren’t even aware of this? Second, the “rally” was held at the General Assembly in Raleigh, supposedly to call for better teachers’ pay and for more money to be “invested” in public schools. But evidently, these folks didn’t think it would be important for the General Assembly even to be in the building for this event? And we know they were well aware of this at the time they started “organizing” this event.
Then the next level of stupid was achieved by those who were chosen to speak at the “rally”. I watched a video of the “speakers” and I was at a total loss for how these people were chosen to speak. I know from many of the people’s comments I’ve seen, they are amazed at how illiterate many they heard speak are. And sadly, every person who spoke is in some position of power in the business of educating the children. But it does answer some of the questions concerning the continued decline of student test scores.
And then there’s the political side of the whole event that bled over into the “education rally”. Looking through pictures from the event, it’s interesting to see all the different subjects on the signs being carried. There were multiple anti-Trump themed signs, including one very large poster with President Trump dressed as Adolf Hitler. And there were also several different “STOP I.C.E.” signs, and love your immigrant (ILLEGAL INVADER) neighbors signs and eliminate all corporate tax breaks and give that money to public schools.
So, what was really accomplished by this “rally”? What seems to be the most powerful “accomplishment” of this whole event is the number of parents and residents from across the State that this TOTALLY PISSED OFF! I don’t think I could have ever invented more reasons to piss off so many people. Whether it was parents, who in the last couple of days of last week, had to arrange for their children being out of school in 20+ school districts, in many cases at the last minute. And a large number of taxpayers from across the State are upset that an illegal group, the N.C.A.E. (North Carolina Association of Educators) was able create this kind of chaos. Then there’s the general reason to be pissed off by this action, at the time of the school year where all involved in public schools, should be focused on prepping for “End of Grade” testing.
In closing, this will go down as a historic event. Just not in the way those who organized would have liked. After several decades of being involved in many rallies, demonstrations and public events, this may be the first one I can say that appears to have actually increased the number of people standing against the cause of the event. And these are the people who are charged with teaching the next generation. That should make all of us look further into what public education has become.
God Bless America! And America, PLEASE Bless God Again!
