This week, since the murderous attack in Orlando, has been a very revealing time in the war for the soul of our Country and our Culture. And the sides have been drawn, somewhat. And the problem is that there appears to be three sides at this point. On the first side we have the Liberal-Progressives, the Democrats, who have immediately gone back to their every violent incident playbook, the gun did it. On the second side we have the “moderate” Republicans, led by the aimless and clueless Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, who have assumed the no real direction politically correct position. And then on “Team Three” you have the REAL US Citizens who see the actions of the first two sides and can only wonder, “What the hell is wrong with these idiots and why do they hate US?”
Let’s talk about the sides in a little more detail. Side One is led by President Obama and their main purpose is to force the focus on disarming the US Citizen. I don’t believe they in any way really believe this can be done, but they know that this has become their most effective “shiny thing” to distract “Team Three” from what they are doing. So, what are they doing? I believe that they are “aiding and abetting” the fundamental transformation of this Country. What scares me most is that I don’t believe they have any idea of what they are transforming this Country in to, but they are convinced that the United States is at the root of everything that is bad in the world today. In their eyes, this means that every institution that has played a part in “American Exceptionalism” must be either transformed or destroyed.
Side Two is the accomplice and “unindicted co-conspirator” of Side One. Unlike Side One, this side has no real “mission” other than keeping their seat at the table “being seen” as active in the “leadership” of the Country. I truly don’t believe anything or anybody can better illustrate this than Speaker Ryan. His “actions” this week have been totally incoherent. On one hand he will actually reference “radical islamic terrorism” as being a problem, then in the same sentence will say that the basic idea of a temporary ban on importing more un-vetted “refugees” from the areas of the world that breed “radical islamic terrorists” is just not “who we are as America”. This would be seen as comical if he wasn’t the designated “leader” of the political majority in what, by the design of our Constitution, is the most powerful institution in our government. So while Speaker Ryan careens aimlessly around the scene, Side One continues to advance.
Then there’s Team Three, who today is being led by Donald J Trump, the sensible voice of the “Silent Majority”. Who would have ever thought that Mr. Trump would be referred to as the “sensible” voice? Well, as Side One and Side Two continue to work, or to not work, together to destroy our Country and Culture, We The People finally have a voice that is speaking out and forcing US to be heard. And it is absolutely scaring the hell out of the other sides, both of them. Please understand, this is NOT about Donald Trump. This is about how the “Silent Majority” finally has a voice. I have watched for most of my adult life as the two other sides have step by step undermined what is great about this Country, the individual Citizen. Now, for the first time in my adult life we have someone who is able to force the Citizen to be heard. This is why the whole “political elite” is totally losing their collective minds. They see this as “how dare the rabble that is the US Citizen actually think they should be considered in the future of the Country?” For the last half decade+ Team Three has been building the foundation from which Mr. Trump is now speaking, LOUDLY!
So, where do we go from here? I think we first have to admit where we are. I hope the description of the three sides here helps with this. There is no “left vs. right”, no “Conservative vs. Liberals”. We have to see this is not a binary conflict in the way they have chosen to define it. It is a binary conflict in that it is “US vs. them”. It is time for US to work from this starting point. And work to take back the Soul of our Culture. The vast majority of US Citizens still love this Country, even if they don’t know why. It is what makes US unique and exceptional in the World. And it is time for US to rally Team Three. Whether you like Donald Trump or hate him, he is really the first voice Team Three has had on the big stage. And when you listen beyond the noise, he’s really the only one talking about the common sense things Team Three knows have to happen. Secure the border. Stop importing more of the enemy. Start voicing whom the enemy is and start fighting back against them. Champion the US Citizen as the solution, not the problem. I’m not sure he can do what he says, but I’m damned sure that Hillary Clinton won’t because she is Side One and will co-opt Side Two. It’s time to make the decision where we will go from here. I hope we choose wisely.
