The North Carolina General Assembly is quite a target for many, as they are working through their even year Short Session and adjusting the biennial budget, while being attacked by the radical leftist for the “Bathroom Bill”. One of the loudest points of discussion is “How big of a raise are we going to give the teachers this time?” I just scratch my head. Can anybody explain to me for doing what do the teachers deserve a raise? Yes, I know I just grabbed on to the most dangerous “third rail” of our Society and in politics. I also know this is not just a North Carolina issue, it’s nationwide.
For the last 30+ years the classroom teachers in this Country have been the “unindicted co-conspirators” in the destruction of our Culture and our Country, and all we ever hear is that they are “overworked and underpaid”? Did I actually just say that? Yes, yes I did. I don’t want to be seen as blaming the individual teacher for this, but that’s where it starts. And until we start the conversation, the further “dumbing-down” of the next generation of US Citizen children will continue. Point to ponder, why does a high school graduate from the 60s have a better base of general knowledge than the average college graduate today? How has this happened?
This whole “Bathroom Bill” situation has just exposed so many of the problems that have crept in to our Society. To me, the whole education question is at the root of it all. I want to ask, “As this whole ‘bathroom’ controversy is now erupting all across the Country, where are the teachers?” Last week, as we saw the President put the public schools across the Country directly in the crosshairs of this most radical piece of his “fundamental transformation”, has anybody heard a single classroom teacher stand up publicly and say “HELL NO! I will not just stand by and start allowing teen-aged boys to use the girl’s showers or bathrooms?” I haven’t. Does anybody wonder why the Jarrett Administration felt comfortable to use the public schools as their platform for this whole frontal assault on our Nation’s sensibility? Please just let that question marinate in your mind for a second.
I would contend it is because, through the national government buying the various “educratic leeches” like the NEA and the State Teacher Unions and “professional” associations, this administration sees the whole public education community as their wholly owned societal pawns to advance their agenda. For the last several decades every radical attack on the societal norms of this Country and Culture has been initiated through the US public education system. Why? Because the rank and file classroom teachers have just sucked it up and took it. But what’s even worse is that they have indoctrinated the next generation with whatever vile or false curricula their overlords have given them. In every case I’m aware of, without question.
Then the next conversation concerning education is how much of a raise are we going to give the teachers? Seriously? As We The People continue to be taxed beyond reason, we’re told that if we don’t give those who are giving the next generation bigger sledge hammers to further destroy the Culture more of our money, we’re the haters. I’m really hoping somebody can explain this to me because I’m just totally at a loss. In the “real world”, any operation that was as successful as the public schools have been over the last 2 or 3 decades would be put out of business, not given a pay raise. And that brings me back to my original question, “where are the teachers?”
