I hope everybody has paid attention over this past week as Papa John’s Founder, John Schnatter, has been publicly and openly lynched just for saying something. And it was something he said in a private setting. If this doesn’t send a chill down your back, and the back of every U.S. Citizen, then the “Speech Police” are winning. And Lady Liberty is taking a brutal beating and losing. Is this really what We The People want to see happening to our Culture and our Republic? I don’t think so. But I might be wrong. Call me old fashioned, but this kind of public lynching must not be tolerated.

“The founder of Papa John’s Pizza has quit his company’s chairman seat Wednesday night after apologizing for HURLING A RACIAL SLUR during a sensitivity training call. John Schnatter resigned from the 33-year-old pizza chain after his PROFANE use of the N-word from May surfaced and the Papa John’s International, Inc., stock spiraled.
“News reports attributing the use of inappropriate and hurtful language to me during a media training session regarding race are true. Regardless of the context, I apologize. Simply stated, racism has no place in our society,” founder John Schnatter said in a statement, hours before he stepped down.
Shares of Papa John’s fell by up to 6% in intraday trading, wiping out roughly $96 million in market value. The stock rebounded slightly at closing, down 4.8%. The company said it would begin its search for a new board chairman.
Schnatter, 56, used the SLUR during an exercise designed to help him avoid public scandal after he blamed protesting NFL athletes were to blame for dipping profits. During the conference call, when asked how he would distance himself from RACIST rhetoric, Schnatter brought up the kneeling debate. “Colonel Sanders called blacks ‘n—–s,” Schnatter said, according to Forbes. He then complained Sanders was never publicly condemned for his remarks.
Schnatter said in Indiana, where he grew up, people would kill African-Americans by dragging them from their trucks. Members of the conference call took offense to his explanation, the news site reported.
The pizza mogul stepped down as CEO in January after the national anthem scandal.
Papa John’s said in a statement that it “condemns racism and any insensitive language, no matter the situation or setting.”
“Our company was built on a foundation of mutual respect and acceptance,” the statement read. “We take great pride in the diversity of the Papa John’s family, though diversity and inclusion is an area where we will continue to strive to do better.””

So, the Founder and Builder of a Great American success company, who has provided thousands of his fellow Americans with jobs, and hundreds or thousands of franchisees with an opportunity to become rich, has now been removed from leading the company he built, because of something HE SAID. In a private company training call. Am I the only person who sees a problem with this whole deal? Well, if I am, I’m good with that. But I have to believe there are many of my fellow U.S. Citizens who have a problem with the “Speech Police” forcing someone to leave what they built as a private company. And why? Because somebody, most likely an employee, or a hired contractor’s employee, chose to go public with something said in a private company training conference call. I hope the turncoat got fired. But in today’s upside down world, they probably got a promotion for their treasonous act.
And it doesn’t end there. Multiple professional sports franchises are revoking their business relationships with Papa John’s. The University of Louisville is removing Papa John’s from the name of its football stadium and removing Schnatter’s name from the University’s Business School of Entrepreneurship. He has also stepped down from the University’s Board of Trustees. I wonder if the University will return the pro-rated amount of the more than $12.5 million of “dirty money” that Schnatter has contributed to the University over the past several decades? Probably not. I’m sure that some University “leader” will justify keeping the money as a part of Schnatter’s reparations for his terrible offense.
My friends, this is just insane! This is nothing but a direct assault on the Freedom of Speech by the “Speech Police”. I can tell you in response to the totally spineless action of the Papa John’s “leadership” there will never be another Papa John’s pizza in my house and I hope that you will do the same. I will not attend any event or visit any facility that is connected to Papa John’s in any way. And I will recommend to any who will listen that they do the same. Our Culture and our Country is under assault by the “Speech Police” and they must be stopped. I hope you will stand against this destruction of our way of life.
