We have now seen all 3 of the 2016 Presidential Debates between former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (D) and NY Businessman Donald J Trump (R) and the big question now is, “What did we learn?” The biggest thing I think I learned is that there has never been a clearer difference between the two candidates running for the highest office in the land. From the fact that we have one candidate who is a career political animal and the other has never held office or served in a government position to their diametrically opposed positions on EVERY major issue.
So, let’s run down a quick list of a half-dozen major issues:
The Supreme Court:
Mrs. Clinton: I will appoint Supreme Court Justices that will stand for all of the American People.
Mr. Trump: I will appoint Supreme Court Justices who will stand on the Constitution.
Immigration:
Mrs. Clinton: “I will put forward in my first 100 days ‘Comprehensive Immigration Reform’ including a Path to Citizenship for those here illegally.” She is an advocate for a “Hemispheric Common Market”, like the European Union, with open borders and open markets. She has already proposed a 550% increase in Syrian Refugees, even after she has stated she knows they can’t be properly “vetted”.
Mr. Trump: “I will build a wall and totally close the border because a ‘Nation without borders isn’t a Nation’”. I will begin the immediate and systematic deportation of criminal illegal aliens. I will enforce the existing immigration laws. He will also initiate a program of “extreme vetting” on ALL immigrants who want to come in to the US from any country with a government that may be influenced by radical islam. He will suspend all of the current Refugee Resettlement programs until the “extreme vetting” program is in place.
Abortion:
Mrs. Clinton: She supports a woman’s right to choose without any restrictions. Fetuses (which are really babies) have no Constitutional Rights until they are born. She has specifically endorsed “partial-birth” abortions. She also is in favor of using taxpayer dollars to pay for abortions, here and abroad.
Mr. Trump: I’m Pro-life and will work to overturn Roe v. Wade, returning this question back to the States where it should have stayed. He supports the “Hyde Amendment” that makes it illegal for taxpayer dollars to be used for abortion.
Trade:
Mrs. Clinton: Supports all current “Free Trade” agreements, and up until she found out that it was unpopular in this election cycle, was fully supportive of the Trans Pacific Partnership (T.P.P.). And as previously stated, wants to create a “Hemispheric Common Market”.
Mr. Trump: Stands totally against the T.P.P. and plans to start renegotiating all current trade agreements. He will propose that penalties or tariffs be imposed on any and all countries that are found to be in violation of current agreements or are guilty of currency manipulation.
2nd Amendment:
Mrs. Clinton: Has stated that she believes that the Supreme Court “got it wrong” on the DC v. Heller decision that stated that EVERY law-abiding US Citizen has the Constitutional Right to own and use a firearm for self defense. She is also for expanded background checks (whatever that means?), to close the non-existent “gun show loophole” and to reinstate the “assault rifle” ban (even though she has proven she has no idea what an “assault rifle” actually is.)
Mr. Trump: Stands firmly for the 2nd Amendment as originally intended. He advocates for Concealed Carry reciprocity for all 50 States.
Taxes:
Mrs. Clinton: Wants to raise taxes, especially on the people we need to begin rebuilding our Country, Corporations and wealthy people. She proposes cutting the Estate (Death) Tax exemption from the current $11 million threshold and to raise the current 65% Death Tax rate.
Mr. Trump: He has proposed the largest tax cuts since the Reagan tax reforms. He proposes a major simplification of the totally out of control tax code. He proposes cutting ALL business taxes from 39% to 15% and eliminating the special interest carve outs in the business tax code. He proposes a one time 10% “Repatriation Tax” to induce US-based Multi-national Corporations to bring back in to the US the estimated $2-6 trillion that is currently parked off-shore because of the current punitive US Corporate tax rate. He advocates for the TOTAL repeal of the Death Tax.
As I stated in the beginning, I don’t believe there has ever been a clearer difference on every major issue that has been discussed in the debates. As a non-partisan organization, the Patriots Business Alliance does not endorse candidates or Political Parties in elections. But as the Founder and Director of this organization, I will be proudly casting my vote for Donald J Trump for President of the United States of America!
God Bless America! And America, Bless God Again!
