Welcome to Gregory’s Original

Gregory’s Original is a family-owned restaurant located near downtown Rutherfordton, North Carolina. Gregory’s popularity stems from success as a long-standing local favorite and an appealing dining choice for visitors to the area. Gregory’s Original offers a broad lunch and dinner menu including Certified Black Angus Beef specialties at an unexpectedly fair price and a large, fresh salad bar with home-made dressings. Try one of their famous Grinders for a hot, satisfying alternative to a sandwich or order up an Italian favorite like Fettuccine Alfredo.

Greg Hayes has worked in the food industry since 1987. Greg, Kelleigh and their daughters Holli and Heather opened Gregory’s Original in 2002 and moved to a larger location in 2012. The family credits the restaurant’s success to a passion for perfection for their customers and their team. Couple that with Greg’s 30 years of experience in every detail of the food industry and absolute refusal to quit. They expect high standards from the wait staff and provide the proper training to insure a comfortable and pleasant dining experience. Greg takes a hands-on approach to every meal that is served to his customers’ table by ordering the freshest ingredients, hand-cutting each steak and preparing the finest sauces for their famous wings. When asked, they will tell you, “We live and breathe great food, hard work and excellent service in our restaurant and catering businesses.”
