The loud statement from the great awakening of the Citizens of the United States happened Tuesday! For months, if not years, We The People have been standing and shouting, “WE’RE MAD AS HELL AND WE’RE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!” For at least the last 30 years we have been taking and taking, and taking some more, from the “rulers” who sit in the seats of national power, and Tuesday we said, “ENOUGH!” Congratulations are due, first to the US Citizens across the Nation and second, to President-elect Donald J Trump.
Since June of 2015 when Mr. Trump announced that he was running for President of the United States, and almost EVERY political “expert” in the Country has told US, every chance that they got, this was just a big joke. There was no way this “Clown/Train Wreck from New York” could ever win this election. He was too loud, he was too brash, he was too crude, he was too stupid, he was too, too, too whatever to ACTUALLY be elected. They said he was just running as a publicity stunt to enrich himself and his “Brand” and once he achieved a certain spotlight brightness, he would just turn this over to the “professionals”, and go back to his Reality TV world and his YUGE real estate empire.
Then the political “experts” said, “he’ll never actually disclose his finances and when it’s time to file his Financial Disclosure Forms he’ll just go away.” The day came and went, and he filed an in-depth and detailed financial report that showed his actual personal wealth was greater than most had estimated. And the political “experts” started to look at each other and ask, “Is this guy really crazy and egotistical enough to really believe he can come from the ‘non-political world’ and get elected President?” No way, that just shows how truly crazy and out of touch this guy is. Then in what started as a GOP Primary race with, most people I know will still say, 16 candidates making up the best field of potential Presidential Nominees in history and Donald J Trump, it was on.
Throughout the summer and fall of 2015, from sea to shining sea, the members of this primary field of 16 candidates, and Donald J Trump, appeared on event stages, TV shows, radio shows and any venue they could to get their name and ideas out to We The People. The reason I mention Donald J Trump separately is that ALL of the political “experts”, and almost all of the elected Republicans, all of the news media continued to almost ridicule Mr. Trump as some kind of side-show act when seen through the lens of a REAL political campaign. But Mr. Trump just kept showing up, and in the eyes and ears of the REAL political “experts”, doing and saying suicidal stupid stuff that would surely get him laughed out of the race. But We The People started to hear how Mr. Trump was speaking to US, in particular to the US Citizens, and we really started to listen. And we started to understand he was saying EXACTLY what many of US were thinking, and feeling. And why we were mad!
Then the real primaries started and the political “experts” said, “he will be done by Super Tuesday.” Well, that is if his crude, rude and socially unacceptable behavior doesn’t destroy him with the “rabid” Evangelical Voters in South Carolina. Then he swept the South Carolina Primary and suddenly there was a panic starting to run through the political class like a lightning bolt. Then on the two big early March Primary Tuesdays, he just demolished the whole field and the political candidates were dropping like flies. Then the march continued through the rest of the primary schedule and, low and behold, at the Republican National Convention Donald J Trump was named the GOP Presidential Nominee. And with his first executive decision, he chose one of the most respected and Conservative people in the whole Republican Party, Governor Mike Pence to be his running mate.
This was the beginning of the most shameful and embarrassing period of the whole history of the Republican Party. Let there be a pox on the houses of Jeb Bush, John Kasich, Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz, who showed they are true men of dishonor. How these men signed a Pledge in front of God and everybody, to support the eventual Nominee of the Party and then didn’t, is a sign that NONE of them should ever hold an office in the public trust again. And even though there were others who signed the Pledge who never campaigned for Mr. Trump, as they said they would, they were never on the public stage disparaging and even attacking our Nominee to the benefit of Hillary Clinton, or maybe not. Looking back, the fact these four low-lives decided not to support Mr. Trump may have been of assistance to the message of Mr. Trump.
Then up until about 2 o’clock on Wednesday morning, the “in crowd” of the political “experts” were still telling US how any minute now, the final numbers were going to come in and the Hillary would be the President-elect. And it NEVER happened, ever. I’ve been asked by many of my friends why I thought from the beginning that Mr. Trump would be, and now is the President-elect of the United States? I tell them that as the race went along it became more apparent every day. There were 24-26 candidates from all political parties in this race, which every time they had an opportunity to speak, talked about this policy position or that political point. And there was one candidate, in Donald J Trump, who looked out and spoke to the US Citizen, and told them, “I understand what this government has done to you and my whole reason for running is to give your Country back to you. And together we WILL Make America Great Again!” And We The People heard him, and unlike the politicians, we believe he can, and will, do what he says. It is a great new day in America!
