As I watch all of the “issues” flying in the current Presidential Pageant, have we lost the vision of what our Society is, and who We The People are in the big picture? I’m somewhat bewildered as I watch the art of political and societal discourse seems to spiral out of control. Again, have we lost the vision? I think that this is the “Cloward-Piven Strategy” on steroids. Where the idea behind of Cloward-Piven was strictly related to the welfare system, where we are now is related to our Society as a whole.
For those who are unfamiliar with Cloward and Piven, this description by Richard Poe at www.DiscoverTheNetworks.org is as concise of a summary as I have seen, “First proposed in 1966 and named after Columbia University sociologists Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, the Cloward-Piven Strategy seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.” I think the current administration is using the “strategy” to totally disrupt our Society and install the “new normal”.
Just think about all of the components they are using to accomplish this. Whether it’s healthcare, or immigration, or creating racial discourse, or flooding the Country with moslems by importation, or destroying the military, or destroying the energy industry, or what they’re doing to our children through the education system, or, or, or and WE are paying for all of it. They are now taking all of the incremental destructions that the Progressives have designed and built over the last Century and pushing them to a whole new level.
Then in the middle of all of this “stuff”, we’re back to talking about bathrooms again, like it’s the single most important issue in the current Presidential Pageant. Really? HEY, look, a shiny thing!! Now understand, I totally agree with the actions of the North Carolina General Assembly taken last month concerning who can and can’t use what bathroom, and under our STATE Constitution, who is the government entity that is charged with making that determination. Can anybody show me where there is a mention of “bathrooms, showers and/or locker room facilities” in the Constitution of the United States? I didn’t think so. It’s a 10th Amendment issue, period.
But there is nothing more pleasing to the current administration than to see US stuck in the bathroom as they continue the advance on the destruction of our civil Society. Because as long as we’re talking about whom can and can’t use what bathroom, we won’t be talking about how the Nation’s largest health insurer is pulling out of Obamacare. Or how another one of the Jarrett Administration’s taxpayer subsidized “Big Solar” friends just declared bankruptcy. Or that somewhere in the Middle East or Africa another group of Christians are being slaughtered or enslaved by moslems just for being Christians. Or, or, or….. But in the face of all of this I’m still hopeful.
I’m sure you are asking, “How can this crazy person be hopeful?” I’m hopeful because in spite of this pummeling onslaught against our civil Society, we are still moving toward the ordered replacement of our government at every level through open elections. And I also am very hopeful because I’m convinced that the “Sleeping Giant” or the “Silent Majority” has awakened and are getting louder every day. This, and the fact that even as we are under this direct assault, the VAST majority of the Citizens of this Republic are still peaceable and, in general, pleasant.
I am concerned that the limits of the pleasantry are being stressed to the extreme, but I saw much the same thing in 1980. And then I saw the Nation pull together and drag the Liberal-Progressives back from the ledge of total anarchy. We must do this again, but this time we are going to have to be more vigilant that the recovery is more dramatic and that there is a reestablishment of societal boundaries. This must be our vision. I think we can do it and I’m pledging to do my part. Will you?
