This is a common question that is asked by a 10 year old in the back seat going on vacation.
But as a Society and a Country, is this the question we should now be asking? Have we reached the point where it’s time for States, counties, cities and individual Citizens to ask this question concerning having any more interaction with the national government and Washington, DC? Are we there yet?
Have we reached the place where We The People should decide to just ignore what the “chosen ones” in DC are saying and doing? Is there really any reason for US to continue participating in their games? Why should we? As the national government, in every single function it is charged to do, continues to show it is grossly incompetent, why should we continue to acquiesce to their control? Again, I think the question we need to ask is, “Are we there yet?”
Why should my, or any, employer continue to confiscate the fruits of my labor, and give it to the national government, for them to squander on things that the vast majority of US either just don’t support or find in direct contradiction to our Values and Principles? And why aren’t we even asking this question? Why should any self-employed Citizen continue to make their quarterly payments to the national government, and then go through the hell of the record keeping and then compiling to just satisfy them? Does anybody think about how much productive time and effort are wasted playing their silly games? Are we there yet?
We spend billions of dollars on a military that we refuse to allow to do what they’re designed and trained to do. Then we continue to question every move the military makes. And then we prosecute members of this same military for doing what they are charged to do? But then we’ve spent TRILLIONS fighting the “War on Poverty” for 60 years, and more of our Citizens are living in poverty today than when we started this war and we can’t question the effectiveness of this initiative? Are we there yet?
And now to top it off, we’re in the midst of a hostile invasion and those in power in D.C. are doing EVERYTHING they can to further advance the invasion. The results of which are the rapidly advancing economic destruction, in every State and community across the Country, through totally flooding and overflowing our social “safety net” programs, intended for Citizens. ARE WE THERE YET??
I really believe we are at that “The Emperor Has No Clothes” point in our Country. The elite ruling class in Washington, DC continues to do really stupid stuff, and then just expects We The People, to willingly turn over the fruits of our labor to finance their folly. Yes, we’re there already, but is anybody willing to stand in defense of the Citizens? Sadly, that’s now the real question.
