Editor’s note: As both Presidents Trump and Biden are heading to the Southern Border on Thursday, and we’re heading to a partial government “shut-down” this Friday, I thought this flashback from a little over 5 years ago, was fitting to repost.

As we head toward Week 2 of the National Government “shut-down” (it’s really not a shut-down, but we’ll play along for the moment), we are now hearing from every side one of these two things, 1) Walls don’t work and they’re a total waste of money, or 2) We have to have a wall. I personally don’t believe the subject is really that simple? I think that there is a whole lot more to this argument than wall or no wall. The first real question is, “Do you believe that the United States should, and has the right AND obligation to, protect its Citizens from invasion?” Until we’re ready to address this basic Human Rights question, the rest is just noise.
I have no qualms in saying that without compromise this is the NUMBER ONE responsibility of the U.S. National Government. It’s right there in Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution-
ARTICLE IV, Section 4- The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, AND SHALL PROTECT EACH OF THEM AGAINST INVASION; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence. (Emphasis added)
So, since there is no question this is the responsibility of the National Government, the question becomes, “What is the best way to affect this and why?” And the next question is, “Why are so many in the National Government so firmly in support of this direct violation of the Constitution?”
I’ll be the first to agree that a “wall” alone will not fulfill this responsibility. I will also say that a PERMANENT solution to our current, and future, invasion problems, on the Southern Border, CANNOT be accomplished without multiple and large sections of a “wall”. I’m certain that if you talk to any honest “Border Security” people, they will say that a “wall” MUST be the foundational component of any PERMANENT solution to our invasion problem on large segments of our Southern Border. Yes, there are other technologies and resources that will need to be part of the solution, but the “wall” is the foundation upon which any real and PERMANENT solution must be built. And I challenge any one to provide any facts that dispute this?
Now the next question is the one that creates the quandary at this point, “Why are so many against it?” I believe that the real reason for the outcry against a “wall” is that they realize this is a PERMANENT solution component. Or as PERMANENT as can be constructed. They know it can’t just be turned off like so much of the technology they crow about, or told to “stand down” like an increase in personnel can be. And there are people, on both sides of the aisle, who are paid well to maintain the invasion by the anti-American globalists who finance their campaigns and their lifestyles. This is the dirty little secret that many in Congress don’t want to discuss.
And do they realize, or even understand, that those on both sides of the aisle, who stand against the “wall”, are in direct violation of their Oath of Office? And why doesn’t anybody ask them this or even care? Have you even really asked yourself why they all went ballistic when President Trump was calling this an invasion? I believe the reason is that President Trump knows and understands the real meanings of the words in our Constitution, better than the vast majority in Congress, and not so subtly wanted to let them know he did.
This, my friends, is the deepest and most real “Constitutional Crisis” created so far in the period of the Trump Presidency. And it needs to be addressed properly and sternly by all who care about what’s left of our Constitution. EVERY Member of Congress who is standing on the wrong side of this should be called out for violating their Oath. They need to be publicly and loudly censured, and asked to tender their resignation from the Congress. This should be done to allow their State in the case of U.S. Senators, or the Citizens living in their District in the case of Members of the House of Representatives, to be replaced with Citizen Legislators who are willing to take their sworn Oath of Office seriously. That’s how our Constitutional Republic is supposed to work, and on this current issue, ours doesn’t.
God Bless America! And America, please Bless God again!
